Terms and conditions

These terms apply to purchases in the online shop of the Institute of Archaeology, Iceland (Fornleifastofnun Íslands), reg. no. 680695-2969, Bræðraborgarstígur 9, 101 Reykjavík.

General

The Institute of Archaeology, Iceland, reserves the right to cancel orders, to change prices and to change the products on sale, without notice. Orders can be confirmed by phone. Please note that product prices can change without notice.

Delivery and payment

All orders are processed within 5 working days. If a product is not available or in stock, we will contact you. If you wish to pick up the order, you can collect it at Bræðraborgarstígur 9, 101 Reykjavík, between 9:00 and 16:00 on working days.

All orders are delivered by Pósturinn (Iceland Post), and their delivery, transport and insurance terms apply. Postage is paid on receipt according to Pósturinn’s price list. The Institute of Archaeology, Iceland, is not responsible for damage during delivery; the buyer is responsible for damage in transit from the Institute to the buyer.

Card payments are made on Teya’s secure payment page. No card details are stored on the Institute’s servers.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

You have 14 days to cancel a purchase, as long as the product has not been used and is returned in good order in its unopened original packaging. If the product is sealed, the seal must not be broken. The period starts when the product is delivered to the recipient. The receipt must be included with the return. The refund is made in full once the conditions above are met and the product has been received. Delivery charges are not refunded. Please contact the Institute at fsi@fornleif.is with any questions.

Taxes

All prices include VAT, and invoices are issued with VAT.

Confidentiality

We treat all information the buyer gives in connection with a purchase as confidential. Under no circumstances will it be handed to a third party.
